Spring Hill, Florida-- A four week investigation of a bank robbery has come to a close because of numerous tips from citizens and countless hours of thorough police work, deputies reported today.
Two suspects have been identified and arrested for the July 27 robbery of a Regions Bank off of Pinehurst Dr. in Spring Hill.
Officials also linked the suspects to an attempted robbery in Pasco County, believed by authorities to be connected to the first crime all along.
Reports say Emanuel Joseph Knapp, 39, and Alexandra Katherine Torgerson, 24, are the two suspects involved in the crimes. They say Knapp robbed the Regions Bank and Torgerson drove the getaway vehicle.
Knapp is currently in the Pasco County Jail on Attempted Robbery charges for a failed attempt at the Hancock Bank. He was reportedly off bonded on a previous arrest for Doctor Shopping, and officials have denied him bond.
Torgerson detailed her and Knapp's involvement to detectives, officials said.
Officials charged her with Principal to Commit Robbery, with a set bon of $10,000.
