New Port Richey, Florida -- Pasco County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a stabbing at a home in a New Port Richey subdivision Friday morning.

The sheriff's office says between 1:00 and 1:30 a.m., as many as five people entered the home in the 12000 block of Oconee Boulevard, in the Moon Lake Estates subdivision, through a back door and got into an argument with one of the residents.

The argument then escalated into a physical fight resulting in one of the victims being stabbed in the right side of his abdomen. When another man tried to help him, he was also stabbed in the abdomen and suffered additional cuts to one of his hands.

The suspects then fled in a silver or gold Dodge Durango heading east on Oconee Boulevard toward Lake Drive.

Deputies say the injuries to both men don't appear to be life-threatening. It is not known at this time if the men knew the suspects.
