Largo, Florida -- Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri announced Monday a $10,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of murder suspect and career criminal 24-year-old Eddie Walker.
Authorities are searching for Walker in connection with the April 5 shooting death of 39-year-old Terrance Bernar Thomas in the 700 block of Patterson Street in unincorporated Largo.
Detectives say Walker and Thomas became involved in an argument over the quality of cocaine Thomas sold to Walker. That's when they say Walker shot Thomas in the head.
The sheriff's office had issued a warrant for Walker's arrest on Aug. 9 and when he didn't turn himself in this past weekend as Walker's attorney said he would, the Sheriff decided to "go forward with the reward offer in order to get Walker off the street".
Sheriff Gualtieri says the reward money will be taken from drug forfeiture funds.
Walker is described as a black male, 6 feet tall, 200 pounds with a short, close haircut and a short beard. Walker should be considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with any information on Walker's whereabouts is encouraged to call 727-582-TIPS.
