An apartment unit damaged by a weekend fire that displaced 20 residents.
Clearwater, Florida - Clearwater fire investigators believe they have found the cause of a weekend apartment fire on Stag Run Boulevard, where two units were damaged and 20 people were displaced.
The fire was started by a lightning strike, which struck the roof near the chimney around 8:10 Saturday night. It took more than 15 fire units and more than 40 personnel almost 40 minutes to put out the blaze.
No firefighters or residents were injured, and there is an estimated $50,000 of structural damage.
