HILLSBOROUGH CO., Florida -- Hillsborough County deputies have canceled an Amber Alert for 7-week-old Jaelin Levison, but are still searching for the man who took him.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office says the boy's father, Reginald Levison, gave the child to his sister, who in turn notified authorities.
The boy is reportedly fine and was reunited with his mother.
According to authorities, Reginald Levison took the boy from his mother earlier today.
Deputies say the couple got into a physical altercation. Levison allegedly grabbed Teah Coward by the neck and attempted to strangle her, hit her multiple times, and would not let her leave her apartment. Deputies say Levison also took her cell phone, preventing her from calling for help.
He then reportedly took their 7-week-old son and fled in Coward's car, a red 2007 Sebring with Florida tag AENC63.
Before he fled, deputies say Levison threatened to possibly harm the child and any law enforcement officers that attempt to apprehend him, stating he would not go back to prison.
Anyone with information his whereabouts is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at 247-8200, or if you want to remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-8477.
