Pinellas County, Florida -- Pinellas County has declared a state of local emergency due to the continuing threat and impacts of Tropical Storm Debby.

Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners Vice-Chairman Kenneth T. Welch signed the resolution Monday morning ensuring the readiness of Pinellas County to provide for the protection of public health, safety and welfare while preserving lives and property.

The county is encouraging residents to continue monitoring the news for up-to-date information regarding Tropical Storm Debby.

Pinellas County continues to operate the Citizen Information Center due to the effects of Tropical Storm Debby. Citizens may call (727) 464-4333 to ask questions related to conditions in Pinellas County.
