Bartow, Florida -- A jury has convicted Antwon Myrick, finding him guilty in the deadly drive-by shooting of a Bartow man.
Jurors convicted Myrick of killing 21-year-old, Irease St. Louis, who was shot one time in the neck across the street from a Polk County school just minutes before dismissal, and died before arriving at Bartow Regional Medical Center.
The shooting happened in August 2010, just before dismissal on the first day of classes at Guase Academy.
The school for middle and high school students remained on lockdown for about a half hour, 15 minutes past normal dismissal time as terrified parents waited outside.
Myrick, now 24, was convicted of second-degree murder.
