Deputies arrest two in suspected meth trafficking bust

Sebring, Florida- Highlands County Sheriff's deputies say two people are under arrest following a lengthy investigation into suspected methamphetamine trafficking.

Deedra Brown, 24 and Donnie Joe Lee, 30, were both taken into custody Thursday after investigators say they found the two with approximately 20 grams of meth inside a home at 1313 Bassage Road. The amount of meth found allowed deputies to charge Brown with trafficking. She was also charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Brown had outstanding warrants for petit theft, fraudulent use of credit cards, fraud by impersonating another and bondsman off bond. She was arrested on those charges and remains in the Highlands County Jail with bond of $113,750.

Donnie Joe Lee of Frostproof was charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $1500 and he has since been released from the Highlands County Jail.
