Clearwater, Florida - The Caribbean Cafe has a nice selection of sandwiches, which includes their famous pressed Cuban sandwich which is usually served with a nice bowl of authentic tasting black bean soup.
Owner Wayne Ordes has been a commercial airline pilot for the past nineteen years, but with companies downsizing Wayne realized that he was going to be furloughed, so he decided to start a new business and opened up the Caribbean Cafe this month.
The Caribbean Cafe is not a cuban restaurant, but according to Wayne, "it's a sandwich shop that just happens to have the best cuban, black beans and rice this side of Ybor City".
They offer a total of twelve different sandwiches, each of which can be purchased as a Combo (a 4 1/2" sandwich, bowl of black bean soup with a scoop of yellow rice and a side of onions) or as a 9" or a 12" sandwich.
