Tampa Bay 3-Day walkers take on 60 miles to fight breast cancer

Clearwater, Florida -- While some of us have a hard time being motivated just getting off the couch, walkers are taking on 60 miles through the weekend in an effort to fight breast cancer.

The Tampa Bay 3-Day got underway this morning.

The walk through Pinellas County is the largest fundraiser for Komen Suncoast. Proceeds benefit research and local community outreach programs. Make sure to cheer them on if you see them during the weekend.

You're welcomed to see them at a public cheering station or a closing ceremonies.

Saturday, they'll pass by the Seminole United Methodist Church just after 8:30 a.m. and John's Pass just after 11 a.m. Sunday, they'll pass Woodlawn Park just after 9:30 a.m. and the Closing Ceremony will be at St. Petersburg's Spa Beach Park at 5 p.m.
