St. Petersburg, FL -- A custom-wrapped, big rig rolled into town Wednesday to send a message: Join the Condom Nation.
Teams are passing out more than 50 million condoms across the country, like at a stop at University of South Florida St. Petersburg, after seeing a big need during their inaugural tour last year.
The AIDS Healthcare Foundation also offers free HIV testing at the tour stops.
Each year, 20 million new STD cases are reported. Condom Nation hopes retailers will make condoms more affordable especially for young adults to practice safe sex. St. Petersburg was the third stop on the 2013 tour.
Now the rig heads to Ft. Myers and Ft. Lauderdale.
