Tampa, FL -- While the flu outbreak maybe waning, it's still hitting parents and grandparents really hard. In fact, the Centers for Disease Control says senior citizens are dying at the highest rate ever seen from the flu.
The Florida Department of Health says more than a thousand Floridians have died from the flu and pneumonia since Christmas. Most of the deaths are among people 75 years old and older.
Dr. James Orlowski from Florida Hospital Tampa joins us on 10 News at 5 p.m. to talk flu and what you can do to fight it. It's not too late to get a flu shot.
