TAMPA, Florida - There's hope on the horizon for Florida drivers who are nervous about the state's short yellow lights at red light camera (RLC) intersections.

Thursday morning, elected officials in both St. Petersburg and Pasco County are slated to discuss yellow light lengths at separate meetings.

Additionally, Florida Governor Rick Scott signed HB 7125, which will give RLC violators - effective July 1 - more options to appeal their citation. The law will also prevent cities and counties from issuing citations to drivers who roll over the stop bar while making a right turn, but manage to come to a complete stop at some point during the turn.

The 10 News Investigators broke the story of Florida's Yellow Light Trap and will continue to bring the very latest - both from Pasco County and St. Petersburg on Thursday.
