TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Health care executive Elizabeth Webster is the newest member of the Florida Board of Governors, which oversees the State University System.

Gov. Rick Scott, himself a former hospital chain CEO, appointed the 39-year-old Webster on Thursday.

She lives in Weston and is regional vice president of health services for Arcadian Health Plan.

Webster replaces Christopher Corr of Lake Lure, N.C., who resigned. Scott last month appointed Corr, an executive vice president of the AECOM technical and management support firm, to the University of Florida's Board of Trustees. Corr formerly held executive posts with The St. Joe and Walt Disney companies.

Both appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate. Webster's term runs through January 2019.

She has degrees from the State University of New York and University of Miami.
