(USA TODAY) Miranda Lambert and Tim McGraw share the most nominations - seven - for this year's Academy of Country Music awards. The nominations were announced Wednesday morning.

Lambert will compete with husband Blake Shelton for the entertainer of the year award. Also up for the ACM's top honor: reigning champ Luke Bryan, George Strait and Taylor Swift.

Three of McGraw's nominations came for Highway Don't Care. That chart-topping collaboration with Keith Urban and Taylor Swift earned nods for single record, music video and vocal event.

Urban received six nominations, two coming in the vocal event category. In addition to Highway Don't Care, his We Were Us duet with Lambert also got nominated.

Kacey Musgraves, up for five awards, is nominated twice in the song-of-the-year category, for Lambert'sMama's Broken Heart, as well as her own Merry Go 'Round.

Strait, who is the current entertainer of the year for the Country Music Association, has won the ACM's version of the award once before, in 1989, though he has been nominated. The Country Music Hall of Famer is currently on his farewell tour.

Rock icon Bob Dylan received his first ACM nomination, as a co-writer of top-song contender Wagon Wheel, while rapper Nelly picked up a nomination for his Cruiseremix with Florida Georgia Line.

Bryan and Shelton will co-host the April 6 awards show for a second year. In addition to the entertainer-of-the-year nominations, they're both up for top album and male vocalist.

This year's ACM Awards will air live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas (CBS, April 6, 8 p.m. ET/delayed PT).
