(USATODAY.com) - At the start of every Bachelor and Bachelorette season, reporters gather on a press conference call to chat with the new looking-for-love-reality-star.

One of the things we try to ferret out is if a happy, fairy-tale ending is in store.

Last season, Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock tricked us, sounding like she wasn't happy. But she wound upengaged to mortgage broker Chris Siegfried (and still is -- last time we checked, anyway).

But during Monday's chat with Juan Pablo Galavis, 32, it was tough to tell how his Bachelorseason, which starts Jan. 6 on ABC, winds up.

Why? Because he's happy.

When he was asked if he had found true love during the taping of the show, he said, "I'm very happy."

He added, "I'm a happy guy."

And still later he said, "I'm always happy and see the positive."

So let's just hope he found a happy girl on his romance journey.

The former Venezuelan soccer star and first Latino Bachelor teased, "You have to watch. That's part of it. I wish I can tell you. You'll see in March. You'll call me back and let me know how it ended up."

What he can tell us is what he's looking for in a woman.

"Someone who is fun, smart, honest, athletic, likes sports a little bit maybe and somebody who (knows) how to dance because I love dancing. That's one of my biggest turn-ons. But in this situation, I say, 'Juan Pablo not all of them are going to be good dancer.' So give them a minute." But he added later, "If she doesn't dance, it's horrible."

When asked about how he'll express his culture this season, he says, "I am the bachelor and I am a Latino. There's going to be a lot of Latino things on the show, a lot of food, a lot of dancing, a lot of stuff. It's going to be so different, you're going to love it."

On a more serious note, the single dad to daughter, Camila, 4, says that while his daughter will be seen on the show, he doesn't want her watching him date 27 women.

"She's going to be 5. I introduce Camila on the first date, or whenever is possible. But honestly I don't tell her, 'Do you like her?' No, I say she's a friend. We don't hold hands, kiss or do sleepovers, in front of my daughter. I don't want her to grow up seeing that." He goes on to say, "She's not going to watch the show. I'm going to maybe show some things to her, but not everything. It's not even worth involving her in this whole process and say listen, "Daddy's going out with 27 people.' It's not worth it at all."

His goal is to find a wife for himself and a stepmom for his daughter and to do that, he says, "I'm just going to be myself. I was myself on the other show (Bachelorette) and honestly myself is the one who is going to be portrayed on this show."

And if he doesn't find love, maybe Juan Pablo can hook up with his dream celebrity date -Heidi Klum.

"She's beautiful," he told reporters. "Since I was little, she is so pretty. Her face is perfect."

What should Klum or any woman expect from Juan Pablo?

"I don't smoke, I don't drink. I drink one beer with lime and salt on top. I can drink one scotch. One takes me for like an hour and a half."

One thing he really loves? "Doritos and salsa."
