NEW YORK (AP) - Largely because of a rough week for "The X-Factor," Fox is looking at some brutal ratings numbers.

The Nielsen company said Fox's prime-time average of 3.8 million viewers last week was smaller than ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox have ever recorded during a week within the key November ratings sweep period. Fox also finished fourth among the youthful demographic it cares most about.

Simon Cowell's "The X-Factor" is down 28 percent in viewership from last fall. NBC's "The Voice" has established itself as the music competition show of choice in the fall, with more than twice the audience last week. A misprinted telephone number forced Fox to throw out public voting results and eliminate much of the reason for watching last Thursday's edition.
