(USA TODAY) Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora, who has been absent from the group's tour in recent months, may not return soon.
A report in Rumorfix quotes sources as saying that Sambora has been fired from his band of 30 years. According to the report, money is the issue: Sambora was making $2 million a month and 20% of the profits from each show, the article says, while his replacement is earning $10,000 a month.
A statement from the band cited "personal issues" as the cause of Sambora's departure from Bon Jovi's tour last spring.
A spokesperson for Bon Jovi's record company had no comment when reached by USA TODAY Friday morning.
