(USA TODAY) On Tuesday's episode of The Talk, Sharon Osbourne finally opened up about her split from hubby Ozzy.
Last week, moving vans were spotted outside a new home for Sharon, as reports surfaced that the two were separating after 31 years of marriage. Ozzy posted a note on Facebook saying that for the last 18 months he's been "drinking and taking drugs." But, he added, he was working on his sobriety and he and Sharon are "not divorcing."
Said Sharon today, "Everything that was printed ... has been distorted. The only thing that was true was the Facebook posting that my husband did."
She went on to say, "He's been using alcohol and prescription drugs for the past year and a half. That's true. That's very true. Everybody knows he's been struggling with this his entire life. I never knew he was using prescription drugs. I knew he was drinking occasionally."
She added, "We're not getting divorced."
As the audience clapped and cheered, she said, "However, am I happy? No. Am I upset? Yes, I am. I'm devastated. It's a disease that not only hurts the person who has the disease but it hurts the family."
Finally, she said, "We're dealing with it. We've dealt with worse ... This, too, shall pass."
And she added, in more typical Sharon form, "Otherwise, my husband will be taken to hospital to get my foot removed from his (rear)."
