Tampa, Florida -- Around 7:30 Tuesday morning, David and Kerry Koppin showed up at the Straz Center in Tampa, even though their event didn't start for at least 10 hours.

"We wanted to make sure we had a ticket," Kerry said.

They are devoted fans of "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart", which is taping downtown Tuesday through Friday.

The show's theme this week: "RNC 2012: The Road to Jeb Bush 2016."

"Let me clarify," said show correspondent Aasif Mandvi, "it's not THE Jeb Bush.  It's really just any Jeb Bush.  Anybody named Jeb in the state of Florida."

Mandvi is assigned a "Welcome to Tampa" story for the Comedy Central show.

Having gone to Chamberlain High School and the University of South Florida, he feels qualified for the assignment.

"It's just a lot of T&A, I have to be honest," he laughed.

Local fans seem eager to embrace being a punching bag.

"I think they'll give it [Tampa] a good shot.  I mean that's their job," said David Koppin.

Tampa and the Republicans won't be the only ones getting picked on, either.

The show will broadcast from Charlotte and the Democratic National Convention next week.
