Pinellas Park, Florida -- Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Evan Longoria stopped by Pinellas Park Library Wednesday to kick off the fifth season of the Reading with the Rays - Read Your Way to the Ballpark program.
Longoria read to a group of children, discussed the importance of reading and encouraged them to read over the summer.

Children can get prizes from the Rays by counting reading hours throughout the summer. If they read nine or more hours, they get a free ticket to a game.
The program is made possible through a partnership with the public library systems in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Manatee, Citrus, Pasco, Polk and Hernando counties.
