Tampa, Florida -- The models that will strut down a Tampa runway Feb. 22 have more in common than just some fancy clothes.
All the young girls taking part in the Fashion Funds the Cure event are either battling cancer or are survivors.
The Pediatric Cancer Foundation fashion show raises money for research. The foundation is based in Tampa, but it sponsors the work of doctors and hospitals from across the nation.
"We're looking for less toxic, more targeted therapy for kids with cancer," said foundation executive director Nancy Crane. "All the major children's hospitals in the state of Florida are funded by us and put kids on trials."
10 News anchor Heather Van Nest is co-hosting the event with fashion stylist Carson Kressley.
