  • Sanford, FL -- The Judge in the George Zimmerman murder trial wants closing arguments to begin Thursday afternoon. Judge Debra Nelson also wants the jury to get the case by Friday morning.

Before the defense rested on Wednesday, Zimmerman told the court he would not testify.

"Have you made a decision?" the Judge asked.  "Yes your honor, after consulting counsel not to testify your honor," Zimmerman replied.

The answer followed some dramatic and tense moments earlier in the day when the Judge wanted to know if Zimmerman would take the stand, but the defense objected.

Zimmerman is charged with second degree murder in the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.

Also on Wednesday, the defense was told they can't introduce as evidence a video animation of what they say happened that night of the fatal shooting. However the computer re-enactment can be shown to the jurors during closings.
