  • Sanford, Florida-- With George Zimmerman looking on, a handful of potential jurors were questioned Monday afternoon.

One woman asked if being a mom would prevent her from being fair and objective.

Knowing the mother is aware that Trayvon Martin was a minor at the time of his death, it was asked if "with that knowledge, [she] could give George Zimmerman a fair trial."

"I believe that I will give the most of fair trials," she said.

Others were asked if being away from family for weeks would be a problem, but most questions centered around how much they'd heard about the case.

With jury selection possibly taking three weeks, and testimony another three weeks, it could be late July before Zimmerman knows his fate.

The neighborhood watch volunteer fatally shot 17-year-old Trayvon Martin last year. Zimmerman claimed it was self defense. What followed was a firestorm of controversy over whether Zimmerman should actually be charged.

"There are some very sensitive issues that we're dealing with here," said Orlando Criminal Defense Attorney Louis Calderon. "Politically, Second Amendment rights, the Stand Your Ground law in Florida...Just the whole issue of self-defense and firearms. How comfortable are people with firearms?"

And because of the notoriety surrounding the case, most expect the Jury of six, plus four alternates (once selected), to be sequestered.

Now court will resume at 9 a.m. Tuesday morning, and we still don't know if Zimmerman will testify in his own defense.

Something else to note- Zimmerman appeared heavier in court today, leading some to speculate that he may be wearing a bullet proof vest.
