Casey Anthony exits the Orange County Jail, early Sunday, July 17, 2011.
ORLANDO, Fla. (WKMG) - A judge ruled Thursday that Casey Anthony won't have to testify in the Zenaida Gonzalez civil trial.
According to records obtained by Local 6, the judge in the hearing denied the plaintiff's motion "to compel answers to deposition questions."
The documents go on to say that Casey Anthony can invoke her fifth amendment right during her appeal process.
When the appeal process is over, the judge may revisit the decision.
John Morgan, Zenaida Gonzalez's attorney, released this statement to Local 6, "We disagree with Judge Munyon's ruling. However, in the end it changes nothing. Casey Anthony will be forced to answer our questions."
Anthony is currently appealing the charges of providing false information to a law enforcement officer.
