From big name artists to high school teens, music videos and songs paying tribute to Trayvon Martin are flooding websites like YouTube.

The New York Daily News counts more than 1,000 such videos on YouTube alone.

Several songs have been called "official" tributes, including one song by 90s R&B group The Rude Boys and rapper Trick Daddy says their song, Believe in Love, was asked for by Martin's family. It's available for purchase on iTunes and proceeds will go to the Trayvon Martin Justice Foundation.

Hip hop magazine Vibe has compiled what it calls 10 of the most touching Trayvon Martin tribute songs.

The outpouring of tributes and support come after Martin, 17,  was fatally shot by neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman in Sanford, Florida back in February.

Trayvon, who was African American, was walking through a gated community to the home of his father's girlfriend after a trip to a store to purchase snacks. Zimmerman told police that the youth attacked him, but the case has led to nationwide interest and calls from civil-rights advocates and others for Zimmerman's arrest.

Trayvon was unarmed, police said.
