St. Petersburg, Florida - Localtopia is a celebration of all things local at Williams Park on Saturday.
More than 100 vendors will be at the park, selling their wares, services and food. Visitors will also be able to "drink like a local" at a craft beer garden serving beers from St. Pete and around Florida. The event also features live music and an active kids' area.
Organizer Olga Bof, from the group Keep Saint Petersburg Local, says the event serves a dual purpose -- to promote independent businesses and to put the spotlight on Williams Park.
"One of the event's goals is to help change the community's mindset about Williams Park. It was our city's first park and it's a beautiful park," she said. "We want to bring Williams Park back to what it once was."
Localtopia runs from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. at Williams Park which is located at 330 2nd Avenue North, St. Petersburg.
