Legoland Florida will soon have a water park opening in May 2012, similar to its water park at Legoland California.
Winter Haven, Florida - On the day Legoland Florida officially opened, park officials were already talking expansion.
"Several years from now we have announced that we will be building a hotel," said Legoland Florida Spokesperson Jackie Wallace.

Officials say the Legoland themed hotel will be open by 2015. But in the more immediate future, Legoland will be opening a water park.
"In just a year we will have a water park right here on the north end."
Wallace says the water park in Winter Haven will be similar to one the company opened in California last year. She did not say if it would be opened year-round or just seasonally, but it's expected to be ready for business by May.

Among the water park attractions according to Wallace will be a lazy river with build your own Lego rafts.
"So you get into a raft in a lazy river and you actually use large foam bricks to build on top of your raft while you float around."
Legoland Florida is already the largest Legoland theme park in the world with more than 50 rides, shows and attractions.
